Sri Veerabhadra Swamy was born brightly to demolish DAKSHAYAGNA. After demolition of Dakshyagna with advice of Lord Maha Vishnu, he again a lived DAKSHA and the Dakshyagna was successfully completed. Even after completion of Yagna, Sri Veerabhadra Swamy could not leave his anger and so he was full in fire that was caused with the YOGA Sakthi of SATHI DEVI. To pacify Sri Veerabhadra Swamy, the saints and the devotees went to Vaikunta and requested Sri Maha Vishnu to pacify Veerabhadra Swamy.
On their request Maha Vishnu went to Veerabhadra Swamy in the disguise of Narasimha to pacify Veerabhadra Swamy. But Sri Veerabhadra Swamy caught hold of Maha Vishnu tightly. Then Maha Vishnu who was in Narasimha disguise has gone to Brahma Loka and informed Lord Brahma Deva about Veerabhadra Swamy.
Then Thrimurtulu requested Adiparasakthi to pacify Veerabhadra Swamy who was in harsh stage. Then she has sent one of her KALA by name Bhadrakali (Out of 16 KALAs) on earth to pacify Veerabhadra Swamy but it was in vain. Then she was shrink in the nearby water tank and came out in the disguise of a young lady and went near Veerabhadra Swamy. After seeing her, Veerabhadra Swamy was pacified.
Then they both got married in the way of GANDARVA VIVAHAM. All the Maha Munis have erected Ashramas called Muni Mandali which was turned in the name of MURAMALLA after many years. From then onwards, all the Maha Munis are performing Gandarva Vivaham to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy in the disguise of Nitya Kalyanam, Which is continuing till today.
Accordingly, the devotees are performing marriages to their daughters. If the marriages to their daughters are delayed parents are performing marriages to Sri Veerabhadra Swamy so that the marriage of their daughter will be performed early.
The Nitya Kalyanam of Sri Veerabhadra Swamy will be witnessed not only by the devotees but it is in vogue that Munis like Agastya, Sukudu, Viswamitra, Vasista, Gowtama, Bhargava, Vyasa, Bharadwaj, Marichidu, kasyapudu, Markendeyudu and Narada will also witness this Kalyanam.
There was a story in vogue that the ruler of Peddapuram have sent mangos to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy to perform Poojas and Kalyanams. As there were no transport facilities in those days, the person who carries the mangos to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy could not tolerate the hunger and ate a mango. Then the person went to Muni Mandali and performed the Abhisheka, Kumkuma Poojas and Kalyanams to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy in the name of Peddapuram Sanstan. Then he returned to Peddapuram with the prasadam and kumkuma. The same night Swamy appeared in the dreams of Peddapuram Raja and told him that only one mango was received by him and the rest were not received and he disappeared. Then the Raja ordered his servant to bring the Brahmin who went to Muni Mandali with mangos.
The Brahmin came and bowed to Raja and requested him the reason for his order. Then the Raja asked him - �You are not a liar so tell me what happened to the mangos sent to Muni Mandali?� and also said that Sri Veerabhadra Swamy appeared in his dreams and told him that only one mango was received and rest were not received by him.

Then the Brahmin bowed to Raja and confessed his guilt for eating one mango out of hunger. After hearing this, the Maha Raja has ordered to help that Brahmin financially.
After few days, the Maha Raja went to Muni Mandali to witness Lord Veerabhadra Swamy and he took his meals in the house of old Brahmin. The old Brahmin has served the food what they were eating. The Maha Raja was well satisfied with the meals offered by old Brahmin and requested him to tell the chutney served as that was very tasty. The old Brahmin could not tell the fact as the chutney was prepared with grass.
Since the Brahmin and his wife were old they could not go outside to get good material to serve him and requested Maha Raja to forgive them. Then the Maha Raja has satisfied for the atidya of the old Brahmin and presented him a piece of land at village of KOMARAGIRI by the name of Gariki Pocha Manyam.
Those who are working in the THANA of Hyderabad NAWAB in Kesanakurru by name SAMBANNA and RAMANNA got bhakti over Sri Veerabhadra Swamy. Out of that bhakti, they have not sent the amount to the Nawab and performed Nitya Kalyanam to the Swamy. One day the Hyderabad Nawab enquired about the income and expenditure of Kesanakurru.
For that the Diwan has informed the Nawab that no amount was received from Kesanakurru. Then the Nawab has sent a word to Sambanna and Ramanna to show the account. They could not reveal the statement instead they have exhibited the records to the Nawab. The Nawab has verified the records and has known that the whole amount was spent for the Nitya Kalyanam of Lord Veerabhadra Swamy.
The Nawab got angry with them and has sent them to jail. They avoided having meals and always prayed the Lord and spent the time in jail. The Lord was kind enough and went to Hyderabad. Then he got appeared to Sambanna and Ramanna. He promised them to make them release from the jail. Lord Shiva appeared to the Nawab in his dreams and told him to release them from the jail otherwise his kingdom will be destroyed.
Soon after, the Nawab has made them release from the jail he asked them to repay the amount for the Nitya Kalyanam of Lord Veerabhadra Swamy. They said that the amount was spent and hence there was no money with them. Then the Nawab ordered to whip them. When the servants whipped the Sambanna and Ramanna, the whip was hit to the Nawab.
With this the Nawab has understood the order of Lord Veerabhadra Swamy who appeared in his dreams and requested him to send both of them to Kesanakurru and spend the whole amount for the Nitya Kalyanam of Swamy and send the balance amount if any. Accordingly, he has given an order and sends them honorably with the help of the servants.
After few days out of heavy floods the temple fell in the river. Then the Veerabhadra Swamy appeared in the dreams of Saraba Raju of Komaragiri and ordered him to restore the temple. Then he along with his servants tried to move the Shivalingam from the river but they could not do that. Somehow they managed to move that Shivalingam with God's grace. They felt it was hard to carry that when they reached Muramalla village. Since they could not bear the weight and so was kept in that village. Soon after, a temple and Gopuram was constructed. They also started Nitya Kalyanams to the Lord which was done earlier.
Once a Land lord by name Routhuperamma was traveling in a ship and was struck in the middle of the sea. Then she requested Lord to reach her to the shore for which she promised to construct a Mandapam. The Lord has granted her request. Then she too has constructed a Mandapam with black granite. There were so many incidents likewise.
The Land lords and Jamindars in and around Muramalla have granted so many acres of land to the Nitya Kalyanam of Lord and also to perform Poojas etc. Out of the lands granted to the temple, the Government has taken over an extent of 133.44 acres and performing Poojas and Nitya Kalyanams to God.
Those who performed the Nitya Kalyanam of Lord have been growing with children happily and financially grown. Those who are residing at far distances can also perform Nitya Kalyanam by sending the payment through money order.
