The historical celebrations of the KAKATIYA FESTIVAL will commence on 21st, 22nd, 23rd in Warangal (capital of kakatiya) on the event of making 800 years of Ramappa temple.
Kakatiya festival would be held at Fort Warangal from December 21 to 23, at Ramappa temple in the district from December 22 to 24 and finally at 1000-pillars temple from December 23 to 25.
The main aim of these celebrations is to educate about the history of Kakatiya Empire to the world. They are certain programs like cultural activities, Dramas and food festival would be held at Fort Warangal from December 21 to 23, at Ramappa temple in the district from December 22 to 24 and at 1000-pillars temple from December 23 to 25 and also be held at other important places of Kakatiya empire.
Officials revealed, ‘Tourism department would make special arrangements to transport the tourists during the upcoming Kakatiya Festival. Efforts would be made to connect tourists to Ramappa temple, 1000-pillars temple, Fort Warangal, Lakhnavaram and other popular destinations’.
Organizing committee confirmed that Chief Minister would inaugurate the Kakatiya Festival at Fort Warangal on December 21.
Warangal railway station is a major railway station in the main railway line connecting Chennai , Bangalore , Mumbai and New Delhi. Warangal is well connected with all the major cities of India. All trains passing through Warangal will have a stop here.
There is around 140km from Hyderabad International Airport.
