The Visakhapatnam city is a port city, located along the shores of  Bay of Bengal and is head quarters to the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy. Visakhapatnam is blessed with natural beauty, with hill ranges, Pristine beaches along its coast line and lush, natural valleys. This is most attractive city to spend holidays.

Visakhapatnam city is surrounded by three hills, Sri Venkateshswara Konda, Ross hill and Dargah konda.  Sri Venkateshswara Konda is home to the Venkateswara Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Ramakrishna Beach is another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. Ramakrishna Beach is known for its Pristine sands and crystal clear waters of the Bay of Bengal. Ramakrishna Beach is perfect for catching mesmerising sunsets and sunrises. Ramakrishna Beach is not safe for swimming, there are many attractions and activities to keep visitors busy. There is a poignant war memorial on the beach called the victory at sea. This memorial is dedicated toe the memory of  brave soldiers, who laid down their lives during the 1971 Indo – Pak War.

Submarine Museum is another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. One of the innovative attractions of the city is the Submarine Museum. Located on the Ramakrishna Beach, this Museum is housed inside a real submarine. INS Kurusura is a Soviet – built submarine which was decommissimded in February 28, 2001 after serving the nation for 21 glorious years. The submarine with all tis weaponry and fittings was hauled on to the beach and paced ona concrete foundation at the Gajapathi Raju Marg in the beachfront.

Rushikonda Beach  is another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. Rushikonda is Located just 8 kilometers from the port city of Visakhapatnam. Rushikonda Beach is known as the jewel of the East Coast. The beach is a haven for waterspors lovers and is popular among windsurfers and jet skiers. Rushikonda Beach is scenic beauty of the beach is its main attraction and offers a unique opportunity to relax and enjoy the golden ovean currents.

Kali Matha Temple is an another place in Visakhapatnam City. Kali Matha Temple is just on the face Rama Krishna Beach. Most of the visitors to Rama Krishna Beach usually give a visit to Kali Matha Temple. The Temple is somewhat a replica of Dhakhineshwar temple in West Bengal.

Visakha  Museum in another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. Visakha Museum full name is a Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Museum. Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Museum is located in the port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, India. Which houses the historical treasures and artifacts of the Kalingandhra region. Collections available for viewing in the museum include ancient armory, crockery, coins, silk costumes, jewelry, stuffed animals, portraits, manuscripts, letters, diaries, scrap books, periodicals, and maps. All of these were used by the early settlers in the region.Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Museum is closed on Mondays.

Tenneti Park is also most tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. Tenneti park is  A Beautiful cute small park. Tenneti Park is located on the foot of Kaliash Giri facing the Bay of Bengal. This park is named after Mr Tenneti Viswanadham who was an Freedom Fighter and the person behind modern shore based Steel Plant in Visakhapatnam. Tenneti Park is a location where you can relax your mind body and soul, with breezy winds throughout the year.

Kailashgiri is another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. Kailashgiri in Visakhapatnam is Hill Top Park. The beauty of the location is that it is surrounded with lush green mountains from three sides and the face opening to  the sea. The rope way is an instant hill. Many of the tourists choose to take the rope way to reach the Hill Top.

Totlakonda is a another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. It is a Buddhist Heritage site. It is located on the Vizag – Bheemil road. During the arial survey by the Indian Navy. The existence of this Bhuddist heritage has come to light. The archaeological survey discovered some structural componernts like Maha Stupa Viharas, 16 Votive Stupas, Chaitys Gruhas, 11 rock cut cisterns.

Visakhapatnam  Zoo is also known as Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. This is one of the most biggest Zoo in Andhra Pradesh, India. The zoo park has different sections for primates, carnivoers, lesser carnivores, small animals reptiles, birds. IT is spred over 430 Acres of land over 400 varieties of animals. Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is closed on Mondays.

Yarada Beach is another tourist spot in Visakhapatnam City. Yarada Beach is a clean blue sea is around 25 kms away from Visakhapatnam City. With its golden sanda, mountains and torquise colour beach is must visit in Vizag. Yarada Beach is  bordered by scenic hills on three sides with Bay of Bengal provides the exotic waves the fourth side.
