Chhattisgarh High Court


The Chhattisgarh High Court (Hindi: छत्तीसगढ़ उच्च न्यायालय) is one of the newest High Courts in India.

It was established on 1 November 2000 after the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 was passed.
It has jurisdiction over the state of Chhattisgarh. The High Court of Bilaspur is the 19th High Court of India[1]
Justice R. S. Garg was the first Acting CJ of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

 It is located in Bilaspur. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of eighteen.

Justice Yatindra Singh, the current Chief Justice was born in 1952 . He completed his graduation from Allahabad university in 1970.

Between March 1997 and February 1999, he served as an Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh.
