Srisailam Left Bank Power House
Two of the six units of Srisailam Left Bank Power House (6 x 150 MW) has begun its pumping mode operation for the first time on 08.12.2005. The pumping of waters from krishna back to reservoir become possible as the backwaters of the Nagarjunasagar extended up to the base of Srisailam Dam.
Srisailam Left Bank Powerhouse is a unique underground powerhouse with facilities for pumped storage operation and condenser mode operation to provide peak assistance / better voltage in the system.
