Devarakonda Fort


Devarakonda is a Nagara panchayat and mandal headquarters in the Nalgonda district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Devarakonda fort was a formidable stronghold of the Recherla Velama Kings who constructed this fort in the 14 th century, this fort now stands amidst ruins.

 A place worth visiting by antiquity lovers it is no more than of archaeological interest.

It is surrounded by seven hills and is connected with Nalgonda, Nagarjuna Sagar, Miryalguda and Hyderabad, Srisailam, Mahbubnagar by road.
