 Kaleshwaram

Kaleshwaram is a unique temple in many ways. The main significance for the temple comes from the fact that it has two Shiva lingas on the same pedestal. People call one lings the Shiva and one as Yama. Shiva is the god of destruction and Yama is the god of death. The main season for the temple is from mid November to mid December. During this season several carnivals and events are held in the temple premises. Every day as a ritual at the temple tamarind rice and ladoos are distributed to devotees. The main festive season for the temple is during November and December.
