Singarayakonda

Located on National Highway 5, Singarayakonda is renowned for its temple, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.

The history of the temple dates back to the 15th century and is evident from the inscriptions, which record the plastering of the temple.

During the 16th century, the temple gained popularity when the king, Sri Krishnadevaraya, established five villages to support the temple.

Singarayakonda also is popular during the Brahmotsavalu celebrations that are held every year in June.

Thousands of devotees throng to the area to participate in the celebrations.

Other well-known temples in the area include the Temple of Yoga Narasimha, the Ayyappa Swami Temple and the Temple of Prasannajaneya, which is home to a Lord Hanuman statue.
