There the continuous Adhayatimika, Spiritual and Devotional Mantras are always in flow on the Holy river banks of pious Godavari. The other name of the place is popularised as Dakshina Kasi i.e., Rajahmundry. Lakhs of people have kept their confidence on this God. People and Devotees believe that their desires will fulfill as and when they worship the God of Visweswara.Now the temple stood as

a famous one among Rajahmundry Temples. It has gotten a prominent and historical story regarding construction of the temple. Lakhs of pilgrims are used to visit Lord Visweswara from surrounding and also from too distant places. Nearly Two Centuries back it is know that the people of Rajahmundry was constructed this temple.

The old generations of 'Ganti Vamsa' one of the Siva Devotee got a Dream on one day, the dream narrates to construct a Siva temple on holy river Godavari, in Rajahmundry. There by the temple had stood on the holy place of Rajamahendravaram. Upto 1948 there was no progress to the temple. Later in 1956 the then Alaya Archaka by name late Sri Suri Satyam and with other major people's co-operation were initiated about the Prathista of Sri Chakra Sahita Sri Balathripura Sundari Ammavaru. It is beyond our limits to say about the Mahima of Sri Ammavaru. One must have their own experience to get that Mahima. People have gotten so much beloved affection on Sri Ammavaru as their wishes are easily fulfilled and getting peace on visiting Sri Ammavaru.


Here Sri Ammavaru has given Dharsanam along with "Puthra Ganapathi and with Sri Chakra". In 1959 The Mandapam was extended with Rama Sahitha Satyanarayana, Lord Venkateswara with Padmavathi, Alivelumanga in the same Temple. The Bindu Madhava Swami, along with Sri Devi, Bhoodevi Temple was also built by Rajahmundry residents of "Maddula's Four generations".

The Diety structure is very different and rare. the temple has got by a popular name as "Jodu Gulla" temple why because, both Lord Siva and Lord Vishnu are together accompanied in this same vital complex. Like this tradition is also a rare one. Here Anjaneya Swamy Temple was also built. Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple was also constructed in the same Mandapam. Another Subrahmanya Swamy Temple was built by Jupudi Madhu Babu Family recently. The festival of Sasti is celebrated here also.

Later in 1979 the temple has been taken under the possession of the Govt., by fixing a trust board to develop the temple. Later in addition to the above, an Executive Officer was appointed in 1988 to get a clear administration and speedy development of the Temple. On very entering the temple first we get Dharsanam of Sri Vinayaka on right side. The Deity is seems to be similar with Ainavalli Vinayaka. Here it is believed by the devotees on performing Kalyanam to Lord Vinayaka one can get their marriage done with His blessings.

In this temple some Festivals are celebrated on Sivarathri, Subrahmanya Sasti, Devi Navarathrulu, Karthika Masam, Dharnumasam, and other precious days. Lakhs of people visit this temple on these occasions. Recently, it is developed with generator, pump system, Jayagantalu and introduced Akasa Deeparadhana and Dhupa Prakara Sevalu throughout the months of Kartheeka and other festival occasions.
