Tenali Junction Railway station



Tenali Junction Railway station, located in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, serves Tenali in Guntur district. It is a major junction station with branch lines to New Guntur and Repalle. The latter connects the Krshna delta to the main line.

The Vijayawada-Chennai link was established in 1899.

The Tenali-Repalle branch line, constructed by Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway, was opened in 1916.

The Vijaywada-Chirala section was electrified in 1979-80.

Tenali is one of the fourteen ‘A’ category stations and one of the five adarsh stations in the Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway
