Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) is a medical hospital established in 1985 by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam to treat patients suffering from polio myelitis, cerebral palsy, congenital anomalies, spinal injuries, and the orthopaedically handicapped.


The hospital is located in Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh, India) at the foot steps of Tirumala Hills. The facility is centrally air conditioned and is equipped with state-of-art medical equipment. Services are provided by highly experienced and motivated professionals and volunteers.
BIRRD Hospital provides free services to poor people. Other people are charged nominal rates for the services provided by the hospital. This hospital is a non-profit organisation and is run with funds granted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and donations from the public.
