Kolanpaka Jain Temple




Sri Shwethambar Jain Mandir of Kolanpaku is a Jain shrine, situated in Kolanupaka Village near Aleru Mandal, which is an ancient town, more than 2000 years old. The temple houses statues of three of the Jain Tirthankaras.

The temple enshrines idols of Lord Adinath, Lord Neminath and Lord Mahaveera. There are idols of 21 other Theerthankaras in this temple. The Jain temple of Kolanpaku was made using red sand stone and the pillars of temple are made out of white marble. The temple was in a ruined condition for years and was renovated about 20 years back, by the Jain communities of Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The temple is spread over in an area of 1 acre, out of a 20 acre land used for dharamshalas and guest houses.
